Bishop Stortford Essex Winter Series.

Today (Sunday 4th November) was the first Essex Winter Series race of the year held at Bishop Stortford Canoe Club. Maidstone racing team had 7 paddlers competing. Aaron Jordan, Dean Jordan, Leanne Brown, Aneta Drag, Duncan Moon, Tom Collins and Felix Collins. Apart from the weather being crappy and the river flowing the team had a very good day apart from Aneta and Duncan taking a swim. Big shout out to Felix Collins smashing the u12 race beating 2nd place by 5minutes!!! And a big thanks to Tom for stopping in his race to help Duncan great team work! The next race of the series will be held at Cambridge Canoe Club on Sunday 25th November.

Bowling Social

Jane Addy has organised a night out for the Club at our local bowling alley, AMF Bowling in Maidstone.  It promises to be a good night, and a chance to chat away from the water for a change!

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Clubhouse Keys

The keys to the clubhouse are kept in the boat stores, but are not always put back or go missing. There is not problem if any club member would like their own key to the clubhouse, if they already have a fob. If you would like to have one could you e-mail me please at [email protected] so I can judge numbers and get some keys cut - they will cost you £6.

It's coming up to the next newsletter, and as always we're soliciting articles, opinions, news and gear reviews.  Whatever you've been up to in the last three months - let us know!  Submissions to [email protected] by November 10th, please.
