Unbelievably, the last week of the summer holidays is just around the corner.  Cue tears from children and teachers alike, and possibly tears of happiness from parents!  

Luckily, we've got just the things to finish the summer break off in style: a 1-day beginner's kayaking course!  Spend the last Friday of summer on the water and make it one to remember.  Spaces still available - Friday August 25th.

Apocalypse When?

Tuesday is - of course - the anniversary of the release of Apocalypse Now, and we will - of course - be commemorating this at the pool session, possibly with a rousing chorus of Ride of the Valkyries.  Although we can't promise the smell of napalm in the morning, we can promise the scent of chlorine in our wam, clean pool!  It's also National Lemon Meringue Pie day.

FSRT / Paddlesport Safety & Rescue Course

2023's only (probably!) Safety & Rescue course starts on Wednesday 23rd August at 6pm.  This course is a huge amount of fun, at least if you do it in the summer!  It's also the most useful training you'll do, giving you skills and confidence to keep yourself and your paddle buddies out of trouble on the water, and to perform effective rescues with minimal physical effort.  (This course is also a pre-requisite for any Instructor, Coaching and many Leadership awards).

Forward Paddling for the rest of us!

Intro to Whitewater

If you fancy moving on to moving water (see what I did there?), then our amazing Intro to Whitewater weekend on the lovely River Dee in North Wales is for you!  We'll spend the weekend working on techniques to have fun on the rapids while staying in control.  You should ideally have done the Flatwater Skills for Dynamic Water Progression course beforehand (or have the skills covered), but drop me a line if you haven't and we can have a chat.
