This year’s Scotland Sea trip will be in the Arisaig area where we have been for the past few years. This area offers some reasonably sheltered paddling and some great camping spots. The trip is open to anyone with reasonable paddling experience but not necessarily any experience on the sea. If the weather is too rough for even the sheltered areas we can paddle on inland lochs or the Caledonian Canal as we did last year. We don’t go there for strenuous paddling but to enjoy the scenery, wildlife and environment.  If you fancy going but do not have a suitable kayak there is still one club sea kayak available (canoes are also ok but a bit more restrictive on the water conditions). If you would like to go please let me know and we can discuss details nearer the time.

Disclaimer: all our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise are peer paddles.  If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something!  Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.  If your trip is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
