Maidstone to The Strand 17 Miles Estuary Paddle

Paddle from MCC to The Strand in Gillingham on the Medway Estuary taking in numerous sights on the way. You'll need to be a reasonably strong paddler.

Distance is approximately 17 miles and I have allowed 6 hours to safely get us to The Strand while the tide is in our favour.

I reccommend sea/longer boats as we will be against the tide for a couple of hours then with tide later in the day.

On the water promptly by 10am. The tide will not wait for us. Car shuttles need to be organised in advance and in a timely manner.

The Strand, Pier Rd, Gillingham ME7 1TT to park free of charge near the slipway.

Bring sustenance and dress for the occasion.
