Maidstone Canoe Club

Join us for a day to broaden your knowledge of safety and rescue techniques? This course is aimed at people who are looking to further develop their safety and rescue skills within the sheltered water environment. We will specifically be looking at mixed craft rescues covered within the Paddlesport Instructor and Paddlesport Leader assessments. 

Pre-requisites: 
Candidates should also hold the 2 Star Award / Paddle Explore Award or be of that ability.

The course contains a fair amount of swimming, so candidates should be confident in the water. Ideally you should have completed the Foundation Safety and Rescue Training Course as this is a pre-requisite for the Paddlesport Instructor Award, however it is not required as a pre-requisite for the Paddlesport Leader Award.
