Grove Ferry River Stour

This is a peer paddle on the River Stour which often has a steady flow but is usually passable in both directions.

Start at Grove Ferry Picnic Site CT3 4BP where you can park by the river at a cost of about £2:50 per day. There are toilets and changing facilities in the car park too. There's also a great pub and place to buy snacks. 

We will paddle to Fordwich about 5 miles away (each way) then return to Grove Ferry. If you still have energy we will paddle to Plucks Gutter about 3 miles away towards the coast, have a cuppa and return again to Grove Ferry. 

Meet at Grove Ferry Picnic Site 09:00 and be on the water around 09:30. We shall return when we can as we'll just be cruising and taking in the countryside and wildlife and stopping occasionally for refreshment. There's the option of a social in the pub afterwards too.
