Annual Maidstone to Rochester Cruising Club

Download as iCal file

Saturday 12 November 2022, 14:30

This is a peer paddle for competent paddlers. Ideal boats are crossovers or even sea boats.

On the water at MCC at 14:30hrs then paddle through Allington Lock into the tidal estuary and on to Rochester Cruising Club (RCC).

Please be on time as the tide will not wait for you! The trip should take around 4 hours.

We will be going down towards Rochester with the outgoing tide so should be pretty easy.

Drivers can Park at RCC at 1pm. Please share cars to keep car parking to a minimum.

After the paddle we can socialise and hopefully eat in the RCC bar.

The paddle is about 13 miles and it will be dark half way through so be prepared with glow lights (not the kiddy ones or fair ground type)

Arrange your own shuttles back to the club after the fun.

I will add you to a Whatsapp group to make arrangements easier.

Message me if you need anything.

Disclaimer: all our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise are peer paddles.  If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something!  Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.  If your trip is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
