Maidstone Canoe Club

As promised, we are running another trip to the Nene white water course. The paddlers who joined us previously had a great time and will be very welcome to come again. Look at the photos to see just how much fun it is!
For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Nene is a white water course in Northampton, just off the M1. It's about two hours away.

There are changing rooms and showers. If you capsize there, you can stand up in much of the course and you will never be more than a few metres from the bank. If you get on at the top of the course, you need to be able to break out before the drop but it is possible to get on below this. It is easier than Lee Valley's Legacy course.
It costs £12 plus £1 to get an annual membership card.
If you are not 3* ability, as coaches, Bill and I can sign on up to 6 paddlers each.
I suggest leaving Maidstone around 11.30am to allow time for traffic, lunch and changing. We should be back around 8pm.
This is a great venue for those wanting to try moving water. Ask members who have been before. It is also a good place for spectators.
