Maidstone Canoe Club

A session designed to give you confidence in performing rescues in all sorts of craft!  Most of us don't do rescues that often, and may have forgotten the best way to get a swimmer into a canoe as fast as possible.  Or maybe you're not familiar with the alternative way to get female paddlers into a kayak (they tend to have less upper body strength than males, and may struggle with some methods).  In any event, at some point a person in your group will fall out, and you should be familiar with the techniques to rescue them quickly & safely.  After all, it might be you!

It's not compulsory to get wet - other people will (probably) volunteer to be rescued!
