Peer Sea Paddling Trip to Lefkada and Meganisi island, Greece

03 – 07 October 2022

Schedule:

3 Oct:

Arrival day. We settled into our accommodation at the sea shore. Our base will be at Dessimi and every day we will start and finish our kayaking trips there. In the evenings we can visit some nice taverns or prepare our own dinner on a barbeque by the beach.

4 Oct:

First kayaking day. Possible itinerary: Dessimi – Meganisi island. Lunch at a tavern on the island. Return to Dessimi

5-6 Oct:

Possible itinerary: We head North by the Scorpio, Scorpidi, Maduri islands. We head inside the large bay of Nidri. Lunch at a tavern in Gheni. Return to Dessimi.

7 Oct:  

Possible itinerary: we head south towards the deep underwater caves of Lefcas. We could go under the rocks with the kayaks and explore some caverns.
We will enter the deep bays of Micros Gialos or Sivota. We will have lunch in a tavern near the hotel and after that we will have time to shower and pack for our flight home.

Around Lefkas there are several possible routes for kayaking, depending on the weather, and the sea, as well as the abilities and wishes of the group participants. We could visit some interesting caverns, desolate beaches, rock walls, and beautiful bays. Part of the pleasure is in visiting different taverns with the kayaks – for lunch and for refreshing drinks.

Cost of the trip:

Option 1 - Camping - £230
A tent could be provided by the club, but you have to bring your own sleeping bag and mat. Camping - non electric green tent pitch with all facilities.

Option 2 - Shared hotel room - £341
You will be suited in a double or triple hotel room.

Option 3 - Private hotel room - £451

What is included in the price is the option you choose plus:

- All local fees.
- Boats (tandem kayaks) + all gear required for paddling such as, paddles, buoyancy aids and dry bags.
- Trip leader/guide
- The shuttles from and to Aktion International Airport.

Additional costs that everyone must cover:

- Flights tickets - please make sure that you booked yourself a tickets for these flights, they are chosen to fit to our travel plan:

Swimming suits or some fast drying layer
