On Wednesday20^thApril at 7pm, the Coaching Development Group will be holding a meeting to discuss issues relating to children paddling at MCC.

This will include:

• At what age can parents drop their children off and pick them up at the end of the club session? Do they need to stay around up to a certain age?
• Who is responsible for children on general club paddles?
• Are emergency contact numbers easily accessible for parents of children on a club paddles?
• What guidelines do we need to put in place for coaches taking out younger paddlers?
• What are our guidelines for taking under 18s away on weekend trips?

Please feel free to raise any other concerns regarding paddling with and coaching under 18s.

We have invited our club Child Protection Officer, the Youth Officer and the club Youth Representative, but we would welcome anyone who feels they have something pertinent they would like to add to the discussion.
