Saturday 21 May 2016, 08:00

Queenborough Rowing Club have invited us to join them in this trip to the WW! U-Boat: details below.

Suitable for Sea boats, tourers and cross overs. Approx 10 miles round trip.

If you would like to go I suggest meeting at the club at 8:00am or at Queenborough 9:30

I will most probably be going and going to the club first. If you fancy going please let me know, thanks

Geoff

At Queenborough Rowing Club meeting this evening details were finalised for two 4-oared gigs to row from Queenborough to the German WW1 U-Boat in Humbledown(?) Creek; on Saturday, 21st May, leaving Queenborough at 10.00. Weather permitting.

Queenborough Rowing Club is opposite the Social Club.  Our boats will lauch from the causeway by the 'Old House at Home' pub.  Free car park nearby and road parking.

If you would like to join/follow us, your kayak(s) would be most welcome.  (Crossing Stangate Creek can be a bit hairy!)

Kind Regards

Daf (Charman)

Disclaimer: all our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise are peer paddles.  If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something!  Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.  If your trip is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
