JOSS BAY BEACH PARTY & BARBEQUE

Sunday 26th August 2018

Arrangements:-

Meet at the Joss Bay Car Park, Margate from 11.00am onwards.

Party on the beach this Late Summer Bank Holiday Sunday.

Play in the surf and paddle across to neighbouring Kingsgate Bay. (Sea conditions permitting).

For your information :-

HIGH TIDE        -        12:40 approx.

LOW TIDE         -        19:50 approx.

......... so this year, the cave in Kingsgate Bay will be  full at 12:40 giving us a 13:00 to 15:00 window for playing through it. We can also surf the outgoing tide as the rocks are uncovered. All, of course, dependent on the weather... remember we have had storms before!

All grades of paddler are welcome, just bring your own food and drink, bucket and spade, something to cook with and something boat shaped to scrape across the sand.

Be aware ….. You will need lots of coins if you plan to use the car park above the beach. It was £12 for the day last year and the machines did not take folding money !!!!!!

Disclaimer: all our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise are peer paddles.  If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something!  Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.  If your trip is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
