The cost will is  £70 if I can get 6 people with a £35 non refund deposit

.Pre-requisites

For the training alone participants must either hold the 2 Star award or be at that level and be a minimum age of 14. If you wish to pass the course over the weekend you will need to have evidence of at least 3 different flat-water journeys of about 3 hours duration (10km) each with at least one of these in an open water environment. And also provide evidence of at least one session of about 3 hours duration in an alternative discipline

The course will cover:

Lifting, carrying and launching
Efficient paddling forwards, backwards and turning
Moving sideways more effectively
Support strokes, preventing a capsize
Dealing with the environment; wind, current etc
Peer and self rescues
Towing
Risk management and awareness of others
Other theory such as: equipment, first aid, access, planning, navigation, etiquette etc.
