Maidstone Canoe Club

A paddle from the Strand to Queenborough, all welcome but you will need sea kayak or long tourer. Meet at the club 9:00 to load up then drop boats at the Strand and organise car shuffle to Queenborough. The paddle will mostly be with the tide flow but we will start before high tide which is arround 12:30 so that we can paddle through or behind Nor Marsh and continue through the islands around Greenborough Marsh then by Stangate Creek to the main channel, past Deadmans Island and into the Swale. Bring some refreshments for a stop on the way. We will only go ahead if the weather is favourable for the Estuary, if not we will paddle somewhwere on the non tidal bit of the Medway.
