Nene Whitewater Centre Trip

The Nene Whitewater Centre is a safe and gentle artificial whitewater course, which is great for building up confidence and practicing skills.  There's also an (optional) larger drop for a bit of playboating and more practice.  We've got exclusive hire for 2 hours (possibly extended to 3 hours, depending on numbers) from noon.

Meet at the Club at 8:45am to load boats etc., or at the Nene Whitewater Centre at 11:30am.  We should be back at the Club by 5pm.  Please bring roofbars if you have them.  You will need lunch.

If you think you might like some coaching or support on the water, please let us know using the form below.  We've got a couple of coaches and other competent paddlers, so we can definitely offer tips, coaching or encouragement if needed!  Feel free to drop me a line (or join the whitewater mailing group, [email protected]) if you want to chat about it first.

Disclaimer: all our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise are peer paddles.  If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something!  Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.  If your trip is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
