Maidstone Canoe Club

As part of a British Canoeing national event MCC will be doing a river clean up between Maidstone and Allington. For those who have not taken part in a river clean up before we will gather in Maidstone between the two bridges armed with litter pickers, gloves and a rubbish bag we will then proceed along both banks towards Allington filling the bags with the rubbish we collect. There will be several canoes spaced out to collect our full bags. The rubbish will be left at Allington by the River Medway Countryside Partnership offices. This clean up is for everybody not just those who paddle general purpose boats as a polluted river affects everybody. Please come along to the club at 9:00 to collect your equipment and then get on to the water, we should be finished before 13:00.
