Download as iCal file

Saturday 29 June 2019, 18:00 - 20:00

We've been invited by Cuckmere Canoe Club to join them at Lee Valley.  Dave Marchant from Cuckmere writes:

Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club have booked Lee Valley Legacy from 1800-2000 on Saturday 29th June and have a number of spaces still available - if anyone is interested we’d love for you to come along.

Session is 18.00-20.00 but arrive by 17.30 to get changed and sorted. There will be a safety briefing at 17.45 which all paddlers (and spectators) are expected to attend. (No need to sign up if you are only spectating)

Cost is £15 paid direct to the club. Please sign up through Eventbrite and then make payment straight away (details on the event).

If you intend to come please sign up as soon as to guarantee a place.

You need to be of 2* standard. If you don’t have your 2* please message me with your experience so we can take a view on whether you are of a required standard to be safe on this course.

N.B. All paddlers need to bring their own boats, BAs, Helmets etc...

We’ve also just been offered free use of Demo boats from Above and Below (the on-site shop). If you want to take advantage of this call Matt Edwards on 07851 239184 or message Above and Below via Facebook.

Location Lee Valley White Water Centre, Station Road, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, EN9 1AB

Disclaimer: all our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise are peer paddles.  If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something!  Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.  If your trip is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
