51°11'48.3"N 0°16'12.5"E (TN9 1HF)

Total length of the trip is around 4.5 Miles with options to shorten if necessary.

From the bottom of the car park paddle upstream to the Leigh Barrier, back along the same rout till the Island, round the back of the island and on to Town Lock, anyone wanting to play on the Canoe pass can do, it’s an easy portage back to the top so multiple runs possible, spray deck if you want to do the canoe pass ( depending it may be possible without filling the boat with water) and helmet recommended if you want to do the canoe pass.

Back from town lock to the car park where we started.

Volunteers please with cars with space to take boats .

Please contact ian at ian.dann@maidstone Canoe Club.net so we have an idea on numbers.

Location Maidstone Canoe Club, Mill Meadow, St Peter's St, Maidstone, ME16 0SN

Disclaimer: our regular paddle sessions are peer paddles.  Support is generally available from more experienced paddlers or coaches, but you have to ask! Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability is appropriate for the journey you choose to do.  If your paddle is being led by someone - a more experienced paddler, river leader or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise.
