Maidstone Canoe Club

This is our Kids-Only Beginner Course!  Open to all kids aged 8 - 14 - loads of fun, games and getting wet - plus you'll learn to paddle and be able to join our legendary Junior Paddle Club!

Please note all courses must be pre-booked - all novice paddlers must attend one of our beginner courses.  Full details of the courses and how to get involved in paddling (including how to join the Club if you're already an experience paddler) are available on this page - please take a look if you haven't already.

Our courses cost £45 for children, and are run by our friendly qualified coaches.  They consist of 8 hours coaching time - either 4 x two-hour sessions, 2 x four-hour sessions, or occasionally 1 x eight-hour session- and follow the syllabus for the nationally-recognised British Canoeing Discover Award.

Your coaches for this course will be Anj Hill and Matt Clegg.    The dates for this course are:

Sessions 1 & 2 : Saturday 2nd July

Sessions 3 & 4 : Sunday 3rd July

Please arrive at 9:00am - we will aim to be on the water by 9:30am.  Please make sure you've read our "What to Wear" page, and please bring a snack!  (Snacks should be OK to be put in a damp pocket - either in some kind of waterproof wrapper, like a cereal bar or a packet of crisps, or fruit or similar)
