For those that know it this was the Serpents Tail on the Dee, Normally there is a chanel on river right with a large rocky area covering most of the river bed the rocks are usually 3' above the water!!  We would normaly paddle this on a level 6, on this occassion it was a 13-14 when we got on and rising. When we got off after Town Falls (those of us who made it that far) it could have been much higher. For a full brief of the Dee see Paul's piece on the forum. Julian
