Yalding to Club mini-tour - Sunday 27th October

In addition to the details already published, note that we should be able to use the canoe pass at Teston Lock on this trip. With rain forecast for the next few days there could be some flow on the river. If you have a helmet, bring it along (or borrow a club one), particularly if you want to run the canoe pass, or the fish steps at East Farleigh.

Clocks as Yalding

The clocks go back on Sunday, so take advantage of the extra hour and come for a paddle down from Yalding. Meet at the Club at 8 - see calendar for details. 

Exe & Barle Weekend

This is a couple of weeks away and I am trying to complete the event form for Neil, I have added all those who went last year plus a few others who have let me know. If you are not one of these and intend to go please let em know so I can add you to the list. Also if anyone can make it down on Friday 18th for the recce that would be great, Norman and I will be helping out, please let me know if you can join us. I have put details of the campsite on the calendar

Thrillseekers Adventure Film Festival

The Thrillseekers Adventure Film Festival is coming to Sevenoaks for the first time this year, on October 21st at 7:30pm.  The program of 4 films includes kayaking, climbing, and other adventure sports - tickets are available here.

Elmbridge Hasler

The club crews had a good day at Elmbridge on Sunday (29th Sept). All our adult/junior ‘K’ crews were placed either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their respective divisions. And young Joel came a respectable 4th in the U10 lightnings. Results are here, and there are lots of photos here and here.

Rowing Races Sunday 6th October

There will be no general paddling at the club next Sunday 6th October because of the rowing races. There will be an inter club paddle form Oare Slipway, details on the calendar, all welcome. 

Coaching night out

Just a quick reminder about the coaching group night out on Friday (27th). Not just for coaches, but everyone who has helped out this summer and well as anyone interested in helping with courses etc. next year. Details on the calendar - please drop me a mail if you'd like to come. 

Stour Paddler

On our Stour paddle over the weekend we met a guy who was paddling the Stour to raise money for the Bipolar UK. He was padling a play boat loaded with all his camping gear, you can watch his video here
