Intro to Whitewater - More Opportunities

I know there were a number of people who couldn't get on our Club Intro to WW this year.  We're unlikely to run another one until next September - however, there is now another opportunity to get some coaching on moving water.  Greg C has kindly agreed to coordinate Club members wanting to do this, with the aim of either joining a series of coached sessions at Lee Valley or getting some private coaching somewhere as a group.  If you're interested, please drop him a line!

Last Courses of 2021

We've added what will be the last courses of the 2021 season - if you want to come paddling with us, this may very well be your last chance until next April!

One more ...

One more space has opened up on the Intro to Whitewater onSeptember 18-19th.  Drop me a line if you're interested.

Intro to WW Space

A space has opened up on our Intro to WW course running on 18/19th September.  This would be suitable for anyone with solid Explore-level flat water skills in a whitewater boat (i.e. not a touring boat).  Drop me a line if you want to chat about it!

Newsletter Last Call

Last call for articles for the Summer Newsletter!  We're still a little short of a full newsletter, so if you've been prevaricating about putting pen to paper, now's the time to commit!

What have you been up to?

The first months of paddling for far too long, and what have you been doing?  Preparing your articles for the newsletter!  This is the traditional quarterly call for you lovely people to tell us about your paddling - paddles short and long, near and far.  Poems, kit reviews, course feedback, trip reports, interpretive dances - all gratefully accepted!

Private Boats

Please don't use Private Boats stored in the general boat shed.  They can be identified by the "Private Boat" sticker on them.  Additionally, they're usually in a named slot and don't have a number sprayed on them.

Club boats have a number sprayed on them, as well as a "Club boat" sticker and a British Canoeing license.

Core Coach Space - This Weekend

A space has opened up for Core Coach training at the Club this weekend (7/8th August).  This is the first part of the training to become a Coach (Level 2 / UKCC 2 coach in old money).  It's a step up from the Paddlesport Instructor course - you can read about it here: https://paddlesuptraining.com/courses/coach-core-training/

The course will be running all day Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August - please drop me a line if you're interested.
