Summer Newsletter Returns!

The Summer Newsletter is here!  Full of paddling news and fab features from you - our members!  Thanks for writing in - if you didn't contribute this time, then now's the time to start thinking about what to write for the Autumn edition - deadline is September 10th.  Enjoy!

Last-minute spaces!

Three spaces have opened up on our beginner course beginning tomorrow, Monday 31st May (and then 7th, 14th, 21st June).  First to sign up gets the spaces!

Explore Spaces

There are still a few spaces available on our Explore Award running on Tuesday evenings.  Just as a reminder, as well as being a fantastic step towards independent paddling, you need this award if you want a boatshed key or wish to use Club boats outside organised Club paddles.

New SUP Beginner Courses!

We're thrilled to announce our first-ever SUP Beginner Courses, running on Saturday 10th July (and then Saturday 17th July).  These should be a fantastic intro to the basics of controlling your SUP as well as a heap of fun in the sunshine!  Spaces are limited, so it's first come, first served!

Intro to Sea Kayaking

Sun, sea, ice-creams!  Hastings Canoe Club have kindly offered to host us for an Intro to Sea Kayaking session at their clubhouse by the seaside, with a barbecue to follow!  June 26th - so restrictions will be lifted, the sun will be shining, and the sea will be balmy!  Suitable for anyone who fancies getting salty - please see the calendar entry for more details and to reserve a boat.

Kids Fun Paddle!

Anj is organising a Kids Fun Paddle session on July 17th.  Just a fun wet session with games and laughter - open to kids aged 7-11 who are "associated with" Club members - e.g. nieces, nephews, neighbours kids, etc.

Please book online - limited spaces available!

Lockdown Paddle Slots are no more!

As the clearest sign yet that things are steadily returning to normal, I bring you the fantastic news that the Lockdown Paddle Slots are no more!   You no longer need to reserve a timeslot at the Club, and can turn up for impromptu paddles.  Please continue to follow all Club & government advice.

Empty inbox?

There are cobwebs on the newsletter inbox this month ... I know people have been paddling, buying new gear, and trying new things - I've seen you!  Please do take time to put pen to paper and share it with the rest of the Club.  A newsletter with no articles is a lonely thing indeed!
