This is part of our Introduction to Moving Water series of events, following on from the successful (sunny) trip to Shepperton Weir. There will be plenty of coaching available for those new to moving water!

It is easy to get on anywhere on the course and build up to running the whole thing, or you could just stay where you feel comfortable to practise your skills.

Meet at the club at 12:00pm
The course is open from 2.30pm to 6.00pm
If we leave there at 6.00pm, we should be back at the club for 8.00pm

Introduction to Moving Water at Shepperton Weir

Meet at the clubhouse at 10.00am. Remember to bring clothes to wear on the water and a set of dry clothes to change into, a towel, lunch, snacks and drinks. Hopefully you will also need sunscreen! We aim be back at the clubhouse by 5.00pm.

This is this the first of a series of trips to introduce paddlers to moving water. We are going to start with practising breaking in and out and ferry gliding. While this is aimed at introducing paddlers to moving water, anyone wanting to brush up on their skills in gentle moving water is welcome to join us.

Please let me know you if you are planning to come so that we can sort out transport arrangements, either on the forum or by emailing me

This trip depends on the river level being low so let's hope that we have a dry week.
