FSRT - last-minute space

If Carlsberg did kayak courses, it would be the FSRT.  We've had a last-minute space open up on ours this weekend (June 11th) - first come, first served!

Boat jousting

By an astonishing coincidence, our pool session next week falls on the 502nd anniversary of the jousting contest and meeting between Henry VIII & Francis I at the Field of the Cloth of Gold near Calais.  We will - of course - be celebrating this important occasion at the pool session.  See you there!  (Plate armour & horses will not permitted in the pool)

Pool sessions open to non-members

Pool sessions are now open to non-members - please share this with any other paddlers you know who aren't currently MCC members (they will need British Canoeing membership)

First Aid

We've got a first aid course running on July 16th, focussing on skills useful on the water and off.  If you haven't done a first aid course for a while, it's definitely worth getting an update - things have moved on, and it's good to have it fresh in your mind if you do ever need it.

This 8-hour course is approved by British Canoeing for coaching and river leading qualifications.

Use it or lose it

There are still spaces for the pool session tomorrow!  Rolls, capsizes, braces, rescues, and general good times - see you there!
